FAQs

Leather, shipping, and how we look after a pack once it leaves London.

Ask the atelier

Keep it dry when you can, wipe the grain with a slightly damp cloth, and feed it with a small amount of colourless leather cream two or three times a year. Do not soak it, and do not leave it on a radiator. The hide will darken and soften on its own — that is the point.

Yes. Packs leave the atelier in a rigid box, wrapped in unbleached paper. UK delivery is free. Europe and the rest of the world is tracked; duties are the receiver’s. If a piece arrives damaged, we replace it.

If it is an EXERY piece, bring it to Shoreditch or send it in. Straps, stitches, and linings are mended on the same bench that made them. We do not repair other makers’ work — we would rather not guess at someone else’s construction.

Unworn pieces can come back within fourteen days, in the original box. We refund in full. Leather that has been worn, rained on, or marked cannot be resold, so we ask that you try the fit at home with care. Faulty hardware is replaced, not argued over.

Sometimes. Write to the atelier with the silhouette, the hide, and the use. We take a small number of commissions each year when the bench has room — initials, a longer strap, a different lining. We will tell you honestly if the piece should stay as it is.
